Ex-Black Stars head coach Kwasi Appiah is confident that African nations who suffered elimination from the current FIFA World Cup in Qatar will make a great comeback in the subsequent competition.

Africa was represented at the international competition by Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, and the regional champions Senegal.

However, four of the five teams were eliminated from the competition, leaving Morocco, who shocked the world by defeating Spain and Portugal to achieve the feat.

The North African powerhouse became the first nation from Africa to advance to the FIFA World Cup semifinal round.

The former Black Stars coach, who was on the sidelines for Ghana in Brazil in 2014, expressed his optimism that the teams will be well-prepared for the upcoming competition in an interview with Koora.

“African teams that have been exited from the tournament they will return quickly and better in the next edition of the World Cup. The African teams played well and with great ambition,” he stated.

Later on Wednesday, Morocco will France in the second semifinal game fighting for who faces Argentina in the final of the 2022 World Cup.
