Sekondi Hasaacas utility player Theophilus Nana Awortwe on Tuesday trained with Accra Hearts of Oak ahead of finalizing a deal with the former African champions.
The Phobians see the experienced player as a suitable replacement for Vincent Atinga who has left the club.
Awortwe, who can play as a Centre back as well as defensive midfielder, has for the past two season’s been linked with a move to the capital based club.
With the eminent departure of Black B. defender Vincent Atingah, Nana Awortwe would be a good capture for the Phobians should he impress the technical handlers of the club with his scintillating form in the Division One league.
The defender has filed for a floating status at the Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association to be dully cleared as a free agent player.
He helped Sekondi Hasaacas to finish in 4th position in the 2016/2017 Division One League.
