Mohammed Kudus, the Ghanaian international footballer, has suffered an injury setback and is expected to be out of action for two to three weeks.

The 22-year-old sustained a hamstring injury during Ajax’s victory over Feyenoord in the Dutch Cup semifinals. Kudus had to be substituted in the highly-anticipated game on Wednesday and will miss upcoming matches against Fortuna Sittard, FC Emmen, and PSV Eindhoven in the league.

However, he could return before the Cup final against PSV Eindhoven on April 30, 2023. Kudus’ absence will be a significant loss for Ajax, who are eager to defend their league title.

The champions are currently eight points behind league leaders Feyenoord. Kudus has been in excellent form for the Dutch giants this season, having scored 18 goals and provided five assists in all competitions.

His impressive performances have garnered interest from several clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
