According to transfer expert David Ornstein, Arsenal is interested in signing Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus, along with Chelsea’s Mason Mount.
Former Netherlands manager, Frank de Boer, is a fan of Kudus and believes his skillset would make a good addition to Arsenal, stating that having Kudus and Mount as options would have eased Arsenal’s injury concerns.
De Boer suggests that having adequate replacements is necessary for a team to compete at the top of the Premier League and in other competitions.
“In any case, certainly for the width. They are both top players. They would be good acquisitions.”
“You play 38 games in the Premier League, you enter the Champions League and you have two cup competitions,” he stated as quoted by Voetbalprimeur.
“Then you really need all the players. Arsenal has had very few injuries this season, they almost always played with the same line-up. You could fill that in blindly. But that is not the case every season. If a few players drop out, then you have adequate replacements are needed if you want to compete at the top.”
Kudus has caught the attention of other top European clubs with his impressive performance, having scored 18 goals and provided five assists, making him a hot commodity in the upcoming summer transfer window.
