Samuel Boadu has refuted the reports circulating about him accepting an offer to become the stop-gap coach of Kumasi Cornerstone FC.

On Monday, the Division Two side officially announced the appointment of the former Hearts of Oak coach as their stop-gap coach, expressing their excitement about his experience and tactical excellence that could positively impact the club’s fortunes.

We are delighted to announce Mr. Samuel Boadu as a stop-gap coach. We are certain that Boadu's experience and standard of excellence as a tactician will impact Cornerstone Football Club positively as we work assiduously to revive our old glory

However, in a recent interview, Boadu categorically denied any involvement with Cornerstone FC and emphasized that he has not signed any agreement with the club. He asserted that he is not joining a Division Two club, citing his impressive track record in the game and his previous tenure at a top club in Ghana.

“I have not signed for Cornerstone; I’m even surprised. No disrespect to the club, but I cannot join a club in Division Two. Everyone knows my pedigree in the game, and it can never be true. How can I leave a top club in Ghana and drop to the lower-tier,” he clarified in an interview with Footballghana.com.

Indeed, Samuel Boadu’s coaching expertise and achievements have garnered significant attention, and it is evident that his services are in high demand. His successful stint at Hearts of Oak, where he led the club to win several trophies, remains a testament to his coaching abilities.

According to exclusive information available to Sportsworldghana.com, Cornerstones FC is currently under the management of former Asante Kotoko winger, Francis Akwaffo Boateng. The club has reached out to Samuel Boadu, seeking his assistance together with Akwaffo in preparing the players for the upcoming season, as their primary objective is to secure promotion into the National Division One League.

Most recently, Boadu led the Black Satellites in the WAFU B Cup of Nations, although the team suffered an early elimination at the tournament held in Ivory Coast.

As the situation unfolds, it is clear that Samuel Boadu’s coaching career continues to attract interest from various quarters, and it will be intriguing to see where his talents and skills lead him in the future.
