In a show of support and financial backing, the influential Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has generously provided the Asante Kotoko Interim Management Committee (IMC) with a significant sum of GH₵600,000 to aid in running the affairs of the club, according to report filed by Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

The IMC, headed by Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, the Kontomponiaferehene and a chartered accountant, has been entrusted with overseeing the day-to-day administration of Asante Kotoko.

With this substantial financial boost from the revered king, the committee is now equipped to navigate the club’s operations and fulfill its responsibilities effectively.

The GH₵600,000 contribution from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II demonstrates his unwavering commitment to the success and progress of Asante Kotoko, a club that holds a special place in the hearts of many Ghanaians.

This financial support will undoubtedly enhance the club’s capabilities in various areas, such as player recruitment, paying salary arrears of players and other stuff until a new administration is formed by the King.

Asante Kotoko’s fans and stakeholders are sure to welcome this gesture with appreciation and enthusiasm, knowing that it will contribute significantly to the club’s continued growth and pursuit of success on the national and continental football stage.

With the backing of their esteemed life patron, Asante Kotoko can look forward to a promising future, both on and off the pitch.
