Desmond Offei has been appointed as the new Head Coach of the Black Satellites. The 35-year-old holds a UEFA A (Level 4) coaching license and brings a wealth of experience to the role.

He has previously served as the U-18 Head Coach and U-21 coach at Royal Antwerp FC, as well as holding coaching positions with Lokeren U-21 and Lusitano SAD.

Desmond is currently employed at the Technical Directorate of the Ghana Football Association, where he serves as the head of high performance. He has also worked alongside former coach Samuel Boadu as an assistant coach for the past nine months.

With coaching and scouting experience in Belgium, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, Desmond Offei is well-prepared to take on the responsibilities of leading the Black Satellites.

Supporting him in this role are two esteemed assistant coaches. Nii Ordartey Lamptey, a former Ghanaian international player with an illustrious career spanning from 1990 to 2008, boasts experience with clubs such as Anderlecht, Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven, Coventry City, Boca Juniors, Ankaraguchu, Shangdon Luneng, Greuther Fürth, and União Leiria. Notably, Lamptey led Ghana to victory in the 1991 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Italy and represented Ghana in multiple prestigious tournaments.

The other Assistant Coach, Salifu Fatawu, previously worked as the coach for FC Tanga and Swedru All Blacks. He played a vital role under Karim Zito’s leadership in securing gold for Ghana in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Mauritania in 2021.

With this experienced coaching team in place, the Black Satellites are poised for success under Desmond Offei’s leadership.
