Alexander Djiku delighted after scoring his first goal at Fenerbahce

Black Stars defender Alexander Djiku, has expressed his excitement after netting his first goal for Fenerbahce on Thursday.

Ghanaian international notched his inaugural goal for Turkish Super Lig outfit Fenerbahçe SK.

Since making his debut for Fenerbahçe SK, Alexander Djiku has stood out and established himself as a pivotal figure in his team’s defense.

In today’s match against Istanbul Başakşehir FK, the defender started in the heart of his team’s defense. He delivered a superb performance, scoring in the 5th minute to give Fenerbahçe SK the early lead.

An own goal from Leonardo Duarte and a brace from Sebastian Szymanski ensured Fenerbahçe SK emerged 4-0 winners over Başakşehir FK after the thrilling encounter.

After six games, Fenerbahce lead the league log with 18 points, two points ahead second-placed Galatasaray.

“Proud to have guided my teammates to victory with my first goal. We continue our series,” Djiku wrote on Twitter.

The central defender completed his transfer to Fenerbahce in the summer after leaving French club Strasbourg after several with them.
