Goalkeepers’ trainer of Hearts of Lions, Stephen Ahorlu, has identified the matches against Asante Kotoko and Gold Stars as the toughest encounters for his team in the current BetPawa Premier League season.
The Kpando-based club managed to secure a point from each of these two challenging matches. They played a goalless draw against Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in week one and, in the fifth week, staged a remarkable comeback from being two goals down to draw 2-2 against Gold Stars.
Stephen Ahorlu, who once played as a goalkeeper for the club, expressed his thoughts to Radio Gold Sports.
“The toughest ones, I can say the toughest one is Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko.
“Gold Stars, it’s very difficult to get a point at their home ground, and going down by 2-0 and coming back to equalize, it’s very hard.
“So those two matches are very, very tough,” Stephen Ahorlu explained to Radio Gold Sports.
Heart of Lions will host Karela United in the seventh-week fixture at their new home, the Hohoe Sports Stadium. They currently occupy the 15th position on the league table after playing five games, with one draw and one loss, and they have an outstanding game against Hearts of Oak to be played at a later date.
