According to Kwasi Appiah, the Technical Director of Asante Kotoko, he believes that the team will improve by the end of the first half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
The team has faced challenges under the leadership of head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, despite signing over 10 new players before the start of the season. As of now, the team has recorded two wins, three draws, and one defeat.
However, with the new players and a new coach, Appiah is confident that the team will adapt to the coach’s tactics and improve before the second half of the season.
He acknowledges that it will take time for the players to understand each other, but he is optimistic that the team will shape up by the end of the first round.
“The players are now adapting to the tactics of the coach. There is no way that all of a sudden you have a new coach and new players so it will take time because they are all from different clubs so they will need time to understand each other but I believe it will take time to get there,” the 65-year-old told Asempa FM.
“I am sure at the end of the first round, the team will shape up,” the newly appointed Sudan head coach added.
Currently, Asante Kotoko is in 7th place on the Premier League table with 9 points and will face Bechem United in their upcoming match at the Baba Yara Stadium.
