Ampem Darkoa’s heroine Comfort Yeboah, who scored a beautiful goal and also forced an assist has disclosed how surprised she was when she heard she had been voted for as the most valuable player of their fierce encounter against ASFAR.
” I will thank God firstly for the win, everyone in the team did pretty well, said Yeboah. Our coach encouraged us in the dressing room that we could do it” added Yeboah”.
On her beautiful goal, she said, “Our coach has advised us to push forward whenever a corner is taken, when I touched the ball, I relaxed and controlled the ball and released the shot with power”.
She continued, “I normally practice shooting from a distance. I was extremely excited with the goal. I was surprised when I won Woman of the Match”.
Ampem Darkoa came from a goal down and won 2-1 in their opening game of the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League in Ivory Coast.
On Thursday at 8 p.m., Ampem Darkoa will play against AS Mande of Mali.
