Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have been nominated for Women’s team of the year in the 2023 CAF football awards.
The ‘Nana Mma’ outfit emerged as the Ghana Women’s Premier League conquerors after beating sworn rivals Hasaacas Ladies in the final via penalty shootouts.
They topped up with the WAFU Zone B Championship- where they also narrowly humbled Nigerian side Delta Queens to emerge winners and also earned a spot to the main competition for the first time.
Currently in the ongoing Women’s Champions League, Ampem Darkoa Ladies in their first-ever appearance have already made it to the semi-final having finished as winners of Group B ahead of reigning champions ASFAR.
The 2023 CAF Awards is slated for Monday, December 11, in Morocco.
