Serhou Guirassy started in the Syli National of Guinea’s 2-0 defeat against the defending champions Senegal.
The VFB Stuttgart’s forward started his first game of the AFCON 2023 and played 62 minutes after missing Guinea’s first two games in the group.
Guirassy expressed his delight for being able to play when speaking to the press after the game.
“Tough game but I am happy to get some minutes tonight. I think maybe we needed to do more and failed to take our chances”, said Guirassy.
“We have to wait and know our fate. I feel good now and ready to play”, added Guirassy.
Guinea has qualified and Serhou says he is ready and feeling good to defend the colours of Guinea.
The Syli National will learn of their opponents on Wednesday evening when the group stage is over.
