Former Black Stars coach CK Akonnor is open to the chance of coaching Asante Kotoko once more.
He’s currently not coaching after his time with the Black Stars ended. Akonnor shared on Akoma FM that he’s focusing on learning more about the game.
He’s studying to improve his knowledge. However, he also mentioned that whether he returns depends on Kotoko’s offer and terms. As Kotoko struggles in the Ghana Premier League, Akonnor hasn’t ruled out the possibility of returning to help them.
He explained, “I’m continuing to educate myself in that area. I haven’t given up, but everything will depend on the opportunity and the offer. I cannot say I’m bigger than Kotoko.” Akonnor respects Kotoko and is ready to face the challenge of coaching them again.
He has a history with the team, coaching them from 2018 to 2019. During his time, he led Kotoko to success in the NC Special Competition and the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
