Following a defeat against Accra Lions, Hearts of Oak midfielder Linda Mtange has shifted his focus to their upcoming match against Berekum Chelsea.
Despite delivering an outstanding performance at the Accra Sports Stadium, Mtange and his teammates couldn’t secure a victory, succumbing to a narrow 1-0 defeat against the Lions.
Speaking after the game, Mtange, who was named Man of the Match, expressed his disappointment at the missed opportunities during the match.
However, the Congolese midfielder quickly redirected his attention to the forthcoming Premier League fixture against Berekum Chelsea.
“When we lose, the fans can never be happy. They are angry because we lost the match. We might have played well, but we lost, and it’s part of football,” he remarked. “We created more chances but couldn’t score. It’s part of football, but we are thinking of our next game. I’m thinking of the next game and letting this defeat slide.”
Hearts of Oak currently occupies the 12th position on the table with 35 points after 28 games in the standings.
