Bofoakwa Tano coach John Eduafo has revealed that his future with the club is uncertain after a disappointing season that saw them lose the FA Cup title and relegated to the Division One League.
Eduafo, who took over as coach midway through the season, is yet to decide whether he will continue with the team or part ways.
“We are still discussing some things, and I’m yet to decide on my future,” Eduafo said in an interview. “Although I’m under contract with them, we need to sort a few things out before I make a decision.”
Bofoakwa Tano’s FA Cup campaign ended in heartbreak on Sunday as they lost to Nsoatreman FC in the final, which was decided on penalties. The Sunyani-based club took an early lead through Richard Dzikoe’s goal, but Nsoatreman FC fought back to level the score and eventually win the title.
The defeat means Bofoakwa Tano will be playing in the Division One League next season, a significant drop from their current status in the Ghana Premier League. Eduafo’s uncertainty about his future adds to the uncertainty surrounding the club’s prospects for next season.
With his contract still valid, Eduafo is expected to hold talks with the club’s management to determine his fate. However, it remains unclear whether he will be given another chance to lead the team or whether a new coach will be appointed.
