Asante Kotoko have contacted Accra Lions for the services of their captain, Shawkan Mohammed, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The Porcupine Warriors are taking the necessary actions to strengthen the club ahead of the 2024/25 season in order to compete in both the FA Cup competition as well as the Ghana Premier League.
In their bid to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season, Shawkan who has established himself as one of the standout players in the Ghana Premier League is on the radar of the Porcupines with head coach, Prosper Ogum being a big admirer of the player.
The 21-year-old has already attracted interest from Asante Kotoko in the past, but a move failed to materialize but is expected to make a big move before the new season begins.
He appeared in the Ghana Premier League 30 times for the Accra-based club.
