German-born Ghanaian forward Kevin Appiah Nyarko has shared his excitement and determination following his recent move to Swedish Superettan side Varbergs BoIS.
The 22-year-old, who previously played for SC Fortuna Köln’s youth team, joined Varbergs BoIS on a free transfer after his contract with lower-division IK Brage expired.
In an interview with the club’s official website, Nyarko expressed his enthusiasm for the new opportunity. “I am very happy to come to a big club like Varbergs BoIS,” he said. “I feel ready to start playing and help the team win more games. It is a very lovely city with nice people and I am very excited to start this journey.”
Nyarko’s arrival comes at a pivotal time for Varbergs BoIS as they seek to strengthen their squad. Sporting Director Thomas Askebrand praised Nyarko’s abilities and the value he will bring to the team. “Kevin fits the way we want to play; he is tough to face, physically strong, good at turning the ball, runs deep but also does the job defensively,” Askebrand noted. “This creates opportunities for us in our offensive game. We warmly welcome Kevin to the club!”
As Nyarko begins this new chapter in his career, he is eager to make a significant impact on the field. Born and raised in Germany to Ghanaian parents, Nyarko retains eligibility to represent Ghana at the international level, adding to the excitement surrounding his future prospects.
