Spanish club Real Oviedo has finalized the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo on a contract that extends through June 2026, as confirmed by GHANAsoccernet.com.
The 26-year-old Sibo arrives from SD Amorebieta, where he played a significant role over the past two seasons, contributing to their promotion to the Spanish Segunda División for the 2022-23 season. During his time at Amorebieta, Sibo made 39 appearances in the Spanish second tier and scored once in the 2023-24 season.
Sibo’s career has seen him play for a variety of clubs, including FC Urartu in Armenia, Watford FC in England, KF Skënderbeu in Albania, UD Ibiza in Spain, and Real Betis Balompié’s reserve team. His diverse experience and proven skills on the field position him as a valuable asset for Real Oviedo.
Despite a setback in his medical examination at the Asturias Clinic, Sibo is anticipated to join the team’s pre-season training sessions and will be formally introduced to the media at a later date.
With his background and abilities, Sibo is expected to make a significant impact in the upcoming season for Real Oviedo.
