Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have made a significant move in the transfer market by completing the signing of defensive midfielder Razak Kasim, according to Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.
The 30-year-old, who is currently a free agent after leaving Great Olympics at the end of the season, has been identified as the ideal candidate to bolster the Phobians’ midfield options.
After weeks of intense negotiations, Kasim has finally put pen to paper to join Hearts of Oak, having previously been linked with Asante Kotoko.
The midfielder’s experience and versatility will be a welcome addition to the team, having featured in 30 games for Olympics in the 2022/23 season despite his side’s relegation.
Kasim’s signing is the third major acquisition by Hearts of Oak ahead of the new campaign, following the recruitment of Nations FC duo Asamoah Boateng Afriyie and Michael Mensah Awuah.
The Phobians are looking to make a strong start to the new season and Kasim’s arrival is expected to play a key role in their midfield.
