Ghanaian attacker Emmanuel Yeboah scored a crucial goal for Brøndby IF in their UEFA Conference League qualifying match against Llapi, which ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw on Thursday.
Despite the draw, Brøndby IF advanced to the next round with an aggregate score of 8-2, having won the first leg 6-0. Yeboah started the game at the Stadiumi Zahir Pajaziti and played the full 90 minutes, finding the net in the 53rd minute to equalize after Llapi’s Elvir Gashijan opened the scoring in the 42nd minute.
Ohi Anthony Omoijuanfo later put Brøndby IF ahead with a penalty, but an own goal by Thomas Mikkelsen leveled the score for Llapi. Danish-born Ghanaian midfielder Noah Nartey also made an appearance, replacing Josip Radosevic in the 78th minute.
Brøndby IF dominated possession, but Llapi had more shots on goal. The Danish team will now focus on their upcoming Superligaen game against Lyngby, scheduled for August 4th.
Yeboah’s goal was his first in the UEFA Conference League qualifying competition, and he will look to build on this momentum as Brøndby IF continues their European campaign.
