Ghanaian defender Gideon Jung delivered a standout performance for Greuther Fürth in their 3-1 victory over Preußen Münster on Sunday, marking a strong start to the season.
The 29-year-old defender played the full match, contributing a goal as Greuther Fürth secured a decisive win in their German Bundesliga 2 opener.
The game began with Julian Green scoring for Greuther Fürth in the 25th minute. Preußen Münster equalized just before halftime with a goal from Malik Batmaz, leaving the score tied 1-1 at the break.
In the second half, Greuther Fürth increased their dominance. Dennis Srbeny restored their lead with a goal five minutes after the restart, and Jung extended the advantage with his own goal in the 55th minute.
