Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Kudus played a key role in West Ham United’s away victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

After a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Aston Villa in their Premier League opener, West Ham bounced back under the guidance of head coach Julen Lopetegui. Kudus, 24, was included in the starting lineup for the match at Selhurst Park.

Following a goalless first half, West Ham found their rhythm in the second half, with Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen both finding the net to secure a 2-0 win for the Hammers.

Kudus was on the pitch for 88 minutes before being substituted for Jean-Clair Todibo. During his time on the field, Kudus had 35 touches and delivered two crosses, one of which was successful. He also completed six out of eight dribble attempts and won nine out of 14 ground duels, although he lost possession nine times.

Kudus will aim to score his first goal of the season when West Ham faces Bournemouth in the EFL Cup second round on Wednesday at the London Stadium, followed by a Premier League clash against Manchester City next weekend.
