European clubs are circling around Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey as his contract with Arsenal approaches its final year.

Multiple reports suggest that Partey, 31, could be set for a high-profile move next summer, with Juventus, Barcelona, and his former club Atletico Madrid all reportedly interested in securing his services.

Partey joined Arsenal in 2020 from Atletico Madrid, where he had established himself as a world-class midfielder under Diego Simeone. However, his time in north London has been plagued by injuries, limiting his impact. Over the past four seasons, Partey has missed 80 games for both club and country due to ten different injuries, disrupting his rhythm and consistency.

Despite these setbacks, Partey has shown glimpses of brilliance for Mikel Arteta’s side, though his frequent absences have affected his ability to cement a legacy at the Emirates. After missing a significant portion of last season with a hamstring injury, many speculated that Arsenal might part ways with the Ghanaian during the summer transfer window. However, Partey remained with the Gunners, starting and finishing all three of Arsenal’s opening Premier League fixtures this season.

With his current contract set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, Arsenal face the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer. Juventus are reportedly prepared to offer him a three-year deal if he opts not to extend his stay in north London. Barcelona are also monitoring the situation, while Atletico Madrid may be open to bringing their former star back to Spain.

Additionally, Partey continues to attract interest from the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal and Al Ahli both still considering him as a potential target.

Arsenal will be keen to resolve Partey’s future in the coming months to avoid losing one of their key players for free next year.
