Ghanaian center-back Abdul Mumin Suleiman has been shortlisted for the La Liga Goal of the Month award for September, following his stunning strike in Rayo Vallecano’s 3-1 win over Osasuna.
Mumin’s powerful goal, which also earned him the Man of the Match honor, has been highlighted as one of the standout moments of the month. The Black Stars defender will compete for the award against Osasuna’s Raul Garcia and Sandro Ramirez of UD Las Palmas.
This nomination marks the second time a Ghanaian player has been recognized in September, as Inaki Williams is also in contention for the Player of the Month award.
Mumin has become a key figure for Rayo Vallecano since his move from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes last summer. He has also established himself as a regular member of the Ghana national team.
