Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew celebrated his crucial late goal in Leicester City’s thrilling Premier League win over Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

Ayew, who came off the bench, made a decisive impact by slipping past his marker to head in a corner kick during the 98th minute, sealing a dramatic 3-2 victory for his team and securing back-to-back wins for Leicester.

“These are massive three points for us. Achieving consecutive victories, especially after the international break, is always challenging. We fought hard and pushed each other to earn this win,” Ayew said after the game.

Reflecting on his goal, Ayew explained, “It was just instinct. I was fortunate that the ball came to me; it wasn’t easy, but I managed to score. We’re all thrilled, and we hope to continue this momentum.”

The match saw Southampton take the lead with two first-half goals from Cameron Archer and Joe Aribo. Leicester fought back in the second half, with Facundo Buonanotte scoring in the 64th minute after a well-placed assist from Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Jamie Vardy equalized for Leicester in the 74th minute with a penalty, setting the stage for Ayew’s dramatic winner in stoppage time. The Ghanaian striker, who joined Leicester City during the summer, received a pass from Harry Winks before scoring the decisive goal.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, who provided the assist for Leicester’s first goal, was named Man of the Match for his influential performance in just 31 minutes on the field.
