Ghana and St. Gallen goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi has earned recognition as one of Africa’s top-valued goalkeepers, with his latest market valuation reaching €1.8 million, according to the recent Transfermarkt update.
Ati-Zigi ranks 12th on a prestigious list showcasing the continent’s elite in goalkeeping talent.
Leading the ranking is Cameroon and Manchester United’s André Onana, valued at €35 million. Morocco’s Bono, now with Al-Hilal, follows in second place at €9 million, with Senegal’s Edouard Mendy of Al-Ahli in third at €8 million. Completing the top five is Cape Verde’s Bruno Varela, the Vitória Guimarães shot-stopper, valued at €4 million.
In sixth is Ivory Coast’s Yahia Fofana at €3.5 million, while Morocco’s Alaa Bellaarouch and Burkina Faso’s Hervé Koffi, both valued at €2 million, occupy the next ranks. Algeria’s Anthony Mandrea, Senegal’s Seny Dieng, and Morocco’s El Mehdi Benabid, each valued at €2 million, follow closely behind.
This valuation marks the highest for Ati-Zigi in his career so far, showcasing his steady progression since his debut for the Black Stars and affirming his status as Ghana’s number one goalkeeper.
