Asante Kotoko midfielder Andrews Ntim Manu has voiced his disappointment following the team’s unexpected 2-1 defeat to Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.
Entering the match unbeaten and as favorites, Kotoko faced a Legon Cities side desperate for their first victory of the season. However, the encounter at the University of Ghana Stadium ended in an upset.
Despite struggling to find their rhythm, Kotoko equalized in the 76th minute through Albert Amoah after initially falling behind. Unfortunately, they couldn’t hold on, as Abdul Rahman scored in stoppage time, sealing the win for Legon Cities.
Reflecting on the setback, Manu said, “The defeat hurts because we had our moments and failed to utilize them, but now we have to recover quickly and focus on our next game, which is the most important.”
Currently sitting second in the league with 15 points, the Porcupine Warriors will look to bounce back as they host Hearts of Lions on November 3, aiming to return to winning form and keep their title hopes alive.
