The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reportedly appointed a new Black Stars Management Committee, according to Kessben Sports.
This move comes as part of efforts to reinforce the management and strategic direction of the national football team following its failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The decision to dissolve the previous Black Stars Management Committee was made after a crucial Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. This restructuring aims to address gaps in leadership and improve the team’s performance moving forward.
The dissolved committee, which was led by GFA Vice President Mark Addo, included members such as Kwasi Agyeman, Dr. Randy Abbey, and others.
The new committee, set to oversee the Black Stars’ operations, features a group of highly experienced individuals. Fred Pappoe will chair the committee, bringing significant football and administrative expertise. Other prominent members reportedly include former Asante Kotoko Communications Director Moses Antwi Benefo, Kwame Baah Nuakoh, Randy Abbey, Moses Parker, and Asante Kotoko Youth Team coach Asare Wilson.
The formation of this new management team is expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategies as the GFA looks to rebuild the Black Stars and restore the confidence of fans.
