Brighton initially seemed poised for victory after taking a commanding 2-0 lead. Lamptey opened the scoring in the 37th minute with an exceptional finish. Receiving a lofted pass from Pervis Estupiñán at the edge of the box, Lamptey unleashed a ferocious shot into the top left corner, leaving the Leicester goalkeeper with no chance.
The Seagulls extended their advantage in the 79th minute when Yankuba Minteh showcased his individual brilliance. The forward weaved past defenders before slotting a precise shot into the bottom left corner, putting Brighton firmly in control.
However, Leicester staged a stunning late comeback. In the 86th minute, Jamie Vardy connected with a perfectly delivered cross from Bobby De Cordova-Reid to narrow the gap. The same duo struck again in stoppage time, with De Cordova-Reid finishing off Vardy’s assist to secure a dramatic equalizer.
