Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah was instrumental in Walsall’s 2-0 triumph over Harrogate Town at the Exercise Stadium in Round 21 of League Two.
The victory brings Walsall closer to leveling their head-to-head record with Harrogate, with three wins compared to Harrogate’s four.
The match saw its first breakthrough in the 34th minute when Nathan Lowe unleashed a stunning strike from outside the box, curling the ball beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.
Harrogate’s troubles worsened shortly after when Josh March was sent off for a second yellow card, leaving the hosts with 10 men.
Despite having 55% possession, Harrogate struggled to create clear-cut opportunities. Walsall, on the other hand, took advantage of their chances and sealed the win in the 69th minute.
Adomah showcased his composure in front of goal, meeting Charlie Lakin’s perfectly delivered cross with a sharp left-footed shot to secure the victory.
Adomah’s impressive season continues, with three goals and two assists in 18 league matches. Walsall will aim to build on this performance when they face Doncaster on Boxing Day.
