Acceler8z FC head coach Obed Adu Boahen is brimming with confidence ahead of his team’s monumental clash against Asante Kotoko SC in the Round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup.

The highly anticipated match will take place on Sunday at the iconic Baba Yara Stadium, where the underdogs will face the seasoned Ghana Premier League side. Asante Kotoko, currently 5th on the league table, are the clear favorites, boasting a storied history in both African and Ghanaian football, along with a formidable squad.

Despite the tough challenge, Adu Boahen is undeterred and has boldly declared that Acceler8z FC will defy the odds. “We are going to play 11 against 11, and we will put the name Asante Kotoko aside and match them,” Adu Boahen told Luv FM in Kumasi. “They should expect good football and a win from us. We are qualifying to the round of 16.”

The lower-tier side, hailing from the Ashanti Region, is entering the game with a fearless mentality, driven by the chance to showcase their talent on a major stage. While Kotoko will look to assert their dominance, Acceler8z FC is prepared to make a statement and secure a spot in the next round.

Will Kotoko live up to their expectations, or will Acceler8z FC pull off one of the biggest upsets in FA Cup history?
