Vision FC and Heart of Lions played out a 1-1 stalemate in their Ghana Premier League Round 23 clash at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown on Sunday afternoon.
Heart of Lions took the lead in the 14th minute when Kwasi Pong capitalized on a scoring opportunity to put the visitors ahead. However, Vision FC responded well and leveled the score in the 30th minute through George Tei Nagadzi.
Both sides had their moments in attack, but the first half ended with the score locked at 1-1. The second half saw plenty of action, with both teams creating chances, yet neither could find the breakthrough to secure all three points.
Possession-wise, Lions had a slight edge with 55%, while Vision FC controlled 45% of the ball. Both teams attempted 11 shots, but Vision had more efforts on target (5) compared to Lions’ 3.
The match also saw some disciplinary moments, as Ruben Hennessy picked up a yellow card in the 40th minute, followed by another booking in the 47th minute.
Lions tested Vision’s goalkeeper twice, forcing crucial saves, while their own shot-stopper made four important stops to keep them in the game.
In the end, both teams fought hard but had to settle for a draw, sharing the points in what was a competitive and balanced encounter.
