The Black Stars will take on Madagascar on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Mimoun Al Arsi Stadium in Morocco, in a high-stakes World Cup qualifier.

With Ghana leading Group I and Madagascar sitting just two points behind in second place, the outcome of this match could significantly impact the Black Stars’ push for automatic qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As the team looks to maintain momentum after their emphatic 5-0 win over Chad, several key players will be crucial in securing another vital victory.

Alexander Djiku – Defensive Stability

The experienced center-back was solid in Ghana’s last outing, helping the team keep a clean sheet against Chad. His composure and leadership in defense will be vital in neutralizing a Madagascar side that has scored the second-most goals in the group. Despite dealing with injuries this season, Djiku has been reliable when fit, contributing to three clean sheets in his last five matches.

Thomas Partey – Midfield Control

Partey delivered an impressive performance against Chad on his 50th cap for Ghana, covering every inch of the pitch and dictating play. His ability to break lines with precise passing will be crucial against Madagascar, who have conceded only three goals in five matches and are expected to adopt a defensive approach.

Jordan Ayew – Attacking Leadership

Wearing the captain’s armband in the last match, Ayew led by example, scoring a goal and setting up Ernest Nuamah’s strike. His ability to deliver in crucial moments, coupled with his relentless work ethic in both attack and defense, will be key in breaking down a resilient Madagascar side.

Mohammed Kudus – Creative Spark

Kudus remains one of Ghana’s most dynamic attacking threats. His dribbling ability, vision, and goal-scoring instincts make him a game-changer, especially against teams that sit deep. If given space, the West Ham midfielder could be the difference-maker in unlocking Madagascar’s defense.

Antoine Semenyo – Physical Presence

Semenyo’s strength, pace, and pressing ability add another dimension to Ghana’s attack. His hold-up play and movement off the ball will be crucial in dragging defenders out of position, creating space for Kudus and Ayew to exploit.

With automatic qualification on the line, Otto Addo’s men will need a complete team effort to secure all three points in Morocco and take a major step toward returning to the World Cup.
