Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed frustration over his team’s inability to convert chances efficiently in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Mauve and Yellow secured a 2-1 victory over Basake Holy Stars in an outstanding league fixture at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa, marking their second consecutive win. However, Tanko was unhappy with Medeama’s failure to keep a clean sheet and their struggles to put games beyond reach early.
“I think the boys did well; in all the games we’ve played here, we score a lot of goals. But like I said last time, we have to learn to kill the game even in the first half,” Tanko stated. “We had the chances to score two or three goals in the first half, which would have made things easier for us.”
With the win, Medeama moved up to fourth place in the league standings, while Basake Holy Stars extended their winless run to nine matches.
