Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has renewed calls for justice in the tragic killing of Asante Kotoko supporter Nana Pooley, who was fatally stabbed during a league match against Nsoatreman earlier this year.
Speaking in an interview on Metro TV, Okraku stressed the need to maintain pressure on authorities to find and prosecute the perpetrator. “We must keep the chase and pace to bring the killer of Pooley to justice,” he declared.
Pooley’s death triggered national outrage and prompted the temporary suspension of the Ghana Premier League, raising serious concerns about fan safety and violence at football matches.
Since the incident, the GFA has intensified collaboration with law enforcement and other stakeholders to enhance matchday security and curb hooliganism.
Okraku reiterated the association’s commitment to safer football environments, urging clubs, fans, and security agencies to remain united in the fight against violence in Ghanaian football.
