Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Fabio Gama has weighed in on the highly anticipated Super Clash between his former club and arch-rivals Hearts of Oak, describing it as one of the most intense derbies he has ever experienced.

In an interview with GhanaSportsPage.com, the Brazilian playmaker, who became a fan favorite during his time with the Porcupine Warriors, highlighted the passion and rivalry that makes the Kotoko-Hearts encounter special.

“Rivalry makes this derby so special,” Gama said. “Yeah, they have a good team and they can win that game. They just have to play their football and fight hard.”

The two most successful clubs in Ghanaian football will face off in their final meeting of the season as the Ghana Premier League approaches its closing stages.

Asante Kotoko head into the clash with a psychological edge, having won each of the last three encounters between the sides. The Kumasi-based side remains in the title hunt and will be pushing for all three points to close the gap on Bibiani Gold Stars.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak are desperate for a turnaround in form. The Phobians are without a win in their last four league matches and are eager to revive their campaign with a crucial victory over their biggest rivals.
