In a crucial top-of-the-table clash, Nations FC delivered a powerful second-half performance to claim all three points and strengthen their grip on the title race. The result puts them three points clear at the top with just two matches left in the season.
The first half ended without goals, as both sides battled in a tense and cautious affair. However, Nations FC came out stronger after the break and finally broke the deadlock in the 60th minute when Emmanuel Annor scored to ignite wild celebrations among the home fans.
With the momentum firmly in their favour, Nations FC took full control of the game. They doubled their lead in the 75th minute through a calmly taken penalty by Faisal Charwetey after Samartex were penalized for a foul in the box.
Kelvin Ampoful sealed the impressive performance in the 82nd minute with a well-placed finish, putting the game beyond reach for the visitors.
This win marks Nations FC’s fifth straight home victory without conceding a goal, highlighting their dominant form at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
Now just two games away from making history, Nations FC are firmly in control of their title destiny and look ready to be crowned champions for the first time.
