Heart of Lions have finalized an agreement with FC Samartex for the transfer of striker Michael Ephson, with personal terms between the player and the club already concluded.
Ephson, who featured prominently for Samartex last season, is now poised to sign his contract and complete the switch to Kpando, where he will spearhead Lions’ attack in the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.
The acquisition is part of Lions’ wider strategy to address their attacking struggles from last season, when inconsistency in front of goal cost them vital points. With his pace, strength, and sharp eye for goal, Ephson is expected to bring a new dimension to their frontline and provide the cutting edge the team has been missing.
Sources within the club say the striker is excited about the move and eager to make an immediate impact. He will be officially unveiled once the paperwork and final formalities are completed.
The signing highlights Heart of Lions’ ambition to be more competitive this season, with management determined to equip the technical team with the right attacking options to challenge opponents in the topflight.
