Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has described the upcoming Ghana Premier League clash against Asante Kotoko as a “very good” contest, with both sides aiming to boost their title ambitions.
The Tarkwa-based side sit third on 22 points, just two ahead of Kotoko in fourth with 20 points. Since a 1-0 defeat to Karela United on September 28, Medeama have gone unbeaten in the league, recording four wins and four draws.
“I think it is going to be a very good game because both clubs have very good players,” Tanko said ahead of the match.
Kotoko, meanwhile, are coming off their first loss of the season, a 2-1 defeat to Basake Holy Stars, which has slightly disrupted their preparations. Despite this setback, the Porcupine Warriors hold a strong home record against Medeama, having won two of their last encounters at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Sunday’s fixture, scheduled to kick off at 4 pm, promises a high-stakes encounter as both teams look to climb the table and keep their championship hopes alive.
