Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says he wants his team to become even more dangerous from set pieces after their 1–0 win over Vision FC on Saturday.
The victory came at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, where Mawuli Wayo scored the only goal with a well-timed header in the 41st minute. The win helped the Phobians bounce back after a short dip in form and boosted confidence in the camp.
Speaking after the game, Didi Dramani praised the team for executing a planned set-piece routine that led to the goal. He explained that in modern football, set pieces are extremely important—especially in tight matches where chances are limited.
“Our strength is also working on set pieces because set pieces have become very important in the modern game. When the match becomes tight, you can rely on set pieces to create openings,” he said.
Dramani added that he believes the team could have scored more goals from their set-piece plays on Saturday.
The win moves Hearts of Oak to fourth place on the Ghana Premier League table with 21 points. Their next game is a Matchday 13 clash away at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, where they will face Karela United.
