Darko Gyabi says Plymouth Argyle’s unforgettable FA Cup campaign — which included victories over Brentford and Liverpool — remains one of the proudest moments of his career.
Gyabi played key minutes in all three matches, holding his own against world-class opposition.
“It was exciting for me, but more so for the city of Plymouth as well,” he said.
“To be able to do that is something that meant a lot. It will go down in the history of the football club.”
The midfielder started against Liverpool and later returned to Manchester City for an emotional homecoming at the Etihad.
Though their run eventually ended, Gyabi says the memories — and what they meant to the fans — will stay with him forever.
