Management has firmly dismissed reports suggesting that head coach Zito has been handed a three-match ultimatum, describing such claims as false and misleading. According to officials, there is currently no pressure being placed on the coach, and no deadline has been set regarding his future.
Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, Sarfo Duku made it clear that the club is not rushing into any decision. He stressed that the management believes strongly in a calm, well-thought-out approach rather than acting on speculation or public pressure.
He explained that team performance is a shared responsibility and not something that should be blamed on one individual. According to him, results on the pitch depend on a combination of factors, including the commitment of the players, the work of the technical team, and the input of the medical department. Because of this, management feels it would be unfair and unwise to single out the coach or issue ultimatums.
Sarfo Duku further noted that the club values proper engagement and dialogue. If there is ever a need to take major decisions, management will first consult all relevant stakeholders before acting. For now, however, no such discussions are taking place, and the focus remains on improving performances through unity and hard work.
He urged supporters and the media to remain patient and supportive, especially during challenging moments. Football, he said, goes through ups and downs, and stability is key to long-term success. Making rushed decisions could do more harm than good.
Management’s position sends a strong message of confidence and trust in the current technical setup. By dismissing the ultimatum reports, the club has made it clear that it prefers continuity, cooperation, and careful planning over knee-jerk reactions.
“For now, Coach Zito remains fully in charge, with management backing him to work with the players and staff to turn things around. Any future decisions, if necessary, will be taken at the right time and through the right process.”, he added.
