Danish heavyweights FC Midtjylland have added Asante Kotoko midfielder Hubert Gyau to their list of transfer targets following his impressive displays in the Ghana Premier League this season.
Since making the switch from Berekum Chelsea at the beginning of the campaign, Gyau has enjoyed a swift breakthrough at the Baba Yara Stadium, emerging as a central figure in Kotoko’s midfield setup. The 20-year-old has drawn plaudits for his tireless pressing, tactical awareness, and ability to contribute decisively in the final third.
Gyau has already netted four goals in 17 league appearances, while also scooping multiple NASCO Man of the Match awards, underlining his growing influence and maturity despite his young age.
His performances have sparked interest from abroad, with Midtjylland actively tracking his development as they plan midfield reinforcements ahead of the next transfer window. The Danish side reportedly see Gyau as a long-term investment capable of fitting seamlessly into their system.
Sources reveal that Midtjylland scouts were present at the Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday to watch Gyau during Kotoko’s victory over Basake Holy Stars, a match in which the midfielder was named Most Valuable Player.
With monitoring complete, FC Midtjylland are expected to lodge an official bid in the coming days as they intensify efforts to secure one of the Ghana Premier League’s brightest emerging talents.
