Ghana forward Mohammed Fuseini netted his first goal of the season for Union Saint Gilloise on Wednesday night.
Fuseini gave the Belgium champions a second half lead after converting from the box as Saint-Gilloise strolled to a 4-1 victory against ten-men Sporting Charleroi.
In the thrilling encounter, Union Saint-Gilloise opened the scoring just a minute into the match through Promise Akinpelu but Charleroi levelled immediately through Aurelien Scheidler.
Five minutes after the break, Fuseini handed the home side a deserving lead, slotting home from a well worked team effort.
Meanwhile, things went from bad to worse for the visitors after Yassine Titraoui was sent off with 18 minutes remaining.
Union Saint-Gilloise took advantage with Ross Sykes extending the advantage in the 84th minute before Raul Foruckz sealed victory in injury time.
The double-chasers will face the winner of the game between Royal Antwerp and Anderlecht in the final of the Belgium Cup.
The attacker missed the first half of the campaign with a serious injury and only returned to action in January.
