Nana Kweku Agyemang has made it clear that the Black Starlets technical team is ready to welcome every committed Ghanaian player as preparations intensify for the 2026 U-17 AFCON.
The Assistant Coach of the Black Starlets stressed that nationality and dedication remain the key requirements for selection into the national U-17 team. As the team continues to build strong unity and chemistry ahead of the continental tournament, he highlighted the importance of inclusiveness and discipline.
Speaking on player selection and team spirit, he stated, “I wouldn’t say no to anybody, as long as you’re Ghanaian.”
He further explained that commitment to the team’s philosophy and readiness to grow are crucial factors in earning a place in the squad. According to him, “Any player who’s ready to learn and apply these principles both at training and games is ready to play for Ghana.”
His comments reflect the technical team’s desire to assemble a disciplined, hardworking and united group capable of representing the nation strongly at the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
As preparations continue, the coaching crew remains focused on instilling the right values, improving tactical understanding and fostering a strong bond among the players to ensure a competitive showing at the tournament.
