Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has admitted his side faces a stern challenge when they take on Bibiani Gold Stars in their Ghana Premier League Week 24 encounter this weekend.
The Phobians travel to Bibiani for Sunday’s fixture in the ongoing 2025/26 campaign, fully aware of the threat posed by their hosts. Having drawn both previous meetings against Gold Stars this season, Dramani expects another closely contested battle.
Speaking to Hearts TV in a pre-match interview, the experienced tactician stressed that his team respects the quality of their opponents.
“We are mindful of the strength of our opponent. We have played them twice this season and both games ended in draws. That tells you the next game will be tough,” Dramani said.
While acknowledging the difficulty of the task ahead, the Hearts coach also highlighted an area of concern — his side’s inability to convert chances in recent matches.
“This is a marathon league and sometimes you encounter difficult games. In our last match, we created enough chances to score at least three goals but failed to convert. It’s worrying, so we are working hard to improve that,” he explained.
“The players accepted responsibility for the result and understand they must improve their decision-making.”
The crucial Week 24 clash between Gold Stars and Hearts of Oak is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, at Dun’s Park, with both sides aiming to strengthen their league ambitions.
