Ghana international midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi has been named Young Player of the Month in the Danish Superliga following an outstanding run of performances for FC Nordsjaelland.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a bright start to 2026, playing a pivotal role in his club’s midfield during the month of February.

Yirenkyi registered one goal and one assist in three league matches, catching the eye with his composure, energy and maturity beyond his age.

His consistent displays have been key for the Farum-based side as they continue their push in the Danish top-flight.

The recognition underlines the rapid progress of the Ghana international, who has grown into an influential figure at the club since breaking into the first team.

Yirenkyi’s impressive form has not gone unnoticed across Europe. Reports indicate that a significant offer arrived during the winter transfer window, but both the player and the club opted to reject the proposal, signalling their belief in his development pathway.

With interest expected to intensify ahead of the summer transfer window, the talented midfielder remains focused on helping Nordsjaelland finish the season strongly.

The award marks another milestone in what is shaping up to be a breakthrough campaign for one of Ghana’s most exciting young exports in Europe.

Yirenkyi is expected to be named in Ghana’s squad for this month’s international friendlies against Austria and Germany respectively.
