Asante Kotoko interim coach Hamza Obeng has described his new responsibility as a major opportunity as he prepares to lead the team into their Week 31 Ghana Premier League clash against Dreams FC.
Obeng has taken over for the remainder of the season following the resignation of Prince Yaw Owusu. The assistant coach now faces the challenge of stabilising the Porcupine Warriors after a difficult run of results.
Kotoko travel away for the fixture with just one win, one draw, and three defeats in their last five matches — a form they will be desperate to improve.
Speaking ahead of the game, Obeng expressed his determination to make a strong impact in charge of the team.
“Well, it is a big opportunity for me and I need to take everything out and then bring all what I can do on board so that I will try everything out and bring everything to board,” he told AKSC Media.
“So that I can manage everything in a way whereby we are going to get good results,” he added.
Dreams FC, however, enter the encounter in better form, having recorded three wins, one draw, and one defeat in their last five matches, setting up a tough test for Kotoko on the road.
