Salim Musah is beginning to make a strong impression at Werder Bremen, earning praise from head coach Daniel Thioune following his standout performance against FC Augsburg.
Although Bremen suffered a 3-1 defeat, Musah’s second-half introduction proved to be a bright spark for the team. Brought on at halftime as part of a triple substitution, the young striker immediately added energy and attacking threat.
He troubled Augsburg’s defence with his movement and presence, helping to create several promising opportunities. Musah even came close to getting on the scoresheet, only to see his header ruled out for offside.
His display did not go unnoticed, with Thioune highlighting the striker’s growing potential and positive impact.
“He has given a signal and positioned himself well. He was close to scoring. The future belongs to him,” the Bremen coach said, while also acknowledging that consistency will be key to his continued development.
Musah’s encouraging performance could see him earn more minutes in the remaining games of the season as he pushes to cement his place in the squad.
